Roof Trim Components

Eave or Gutter Trim:Eave trim is installed on the lowest edge of the roof.Its purpose is to give a finished look to the roof.Gutters maybe installed in place of eave trim.
Ridge Cap Trim or Peak Sheet:This trim will found anywhere two rising surfaces meet one another, such as the ridge, hip, or the top of a dormer.
Gable Trim or Rake Trim:This trim is found anywhere a sloping edge ends, such as the end of a gable or the end of a dormer.
Downspout:Downspouts are used when gutters are installed.They drain water from the gutters to the ground.
Valley Flashing:Valley trim is required anywhere two roof surfaces meet to form a valley.Valley trim is installed underneath the roof panels to help guide water and keep it from getting under the panels.
Wall to Roof Transition:Transition trim is required to keep water from getting underneath roof panels when vertical wall surfaces meet another roof surface.Transition trim is also used around chimneys.
¬İGambrel or Pitch Trim:Transition trim is used when a roof is sloping in one direction and the slope changes.It is used to keep water from getting under the panels.
End Wall and Side Wall Flashing:This trim is used when a wall meets a roof.It is used to keep water from getting under the panels.
Skylight Flashing:Used around raised roof skylights to keep water from getting under the panels.
Pipe Flashing:Used around all pipes penetrating the roof to keep water from getting under the panels.
